Rock crystal

Description

Rock crystal. A variety of quartz, represented by transparent crystals of prismatic shape. The surface of the crystals is covered with a thin brown film of iron compounds. The morphological features and surface changes of the mineral characterize the conditions of its formation and subsequent geochemical processes.
