The obverse of the coin of the Turgesh Khagan bears a Sogdian legend - βγy twrkyš γ’γ’n pny.
The reverse features the tamga of the Turgesh people, with the runic sign “r” on the left and a three-letter Sogdian inscription in the lower part.
