Description

Belt ferrule (fragment) with figurines of argali. 8th -7th cc. B.C. Gold. Casting, soldering, graining, incrustation. Sizes: length - 6,4 сm, width - 2,6 сm, height - 1,1 сm. Weight - 22,10 g. Standart - 900. Zhalauly village, Rayimbek district, Almaty region. Accidental finding, 1988. Belt tip extended quadrangular form, with the rounded end, slightly bend. The surface is curved, decorated with tiny figures of mountain ramsargali, soldered in 2 lines: 3 - in upper line, 4 - in second. Argali with tucked up legs. On trunks of argali cuttings - nests in the form of comma for inserts of semi-precious stones. Graining filled the space between figures. Publication: Акишев А.
