Jug

Description

The jug is cylindrical in shape, with a pronounced shoulder and lower section. The neck is flared. The handle is vertical, attached at one end to the neck and at the other to the shoulder of the vessel. It stands on a disc-shaped foot. Made on a potter’s wheel. Covered with white glaze with a greenish tint. Decorated with a rich, stylized underglaze vegetal ornament featuring an intricate braid-like motif and dotted elements executed in brown, green, and white.
