Coin of the Turgesh Khaganate

Description

The coin has a raised rim around its edge. There is also a rim around the central hole. The obverse features a circular Sogdian legend made in italics, counterclockwise. The legend consists of 4 words «Vuyu twrkys ödy-шың pny» «Lord of the Türgesh Kagan». The reverse bears the tamga of the Türgesh, described in the field of the coin between the thick ring and the square hole; the square hole is highlighted by a diamond shape, as part of the tamga.
