Description
The vessel is jar-shaped, with a wide neck and a globular body that is widest in the middle and tapers towards the flat base. The vessel was made on a potter’s wheel from well-kneaded red clay with sand inclusions. The surface is covered with red slip, with traces of burnishing preserved. The rim is slightly convex and triangular in cross-section. A raised ring-shaped groove is present at the junction of the neck and body. Traces of a handle attachment are preserved on the middle part of the body.
