Medal of Zhukov with certificate

Description

The Zhukov Medal is made of silver and has the shape of a circle, 32 mm in diameter.
On the obverse is a bust-length relief portrait of G.K. Zhukov. At the top is the raised inscription GEORGY ZHUKOV, and at the bottom - a relief image of laurel and oak branches.On the reverse, in the center, is the raised inscription: FOR DISTINCTION IN SERVICE, with the medal’s serial number placed below. In the lower part are laurel and oak branches. The medal’s edge is bordered by a raised rim.The medal is attached by a suspension ring to a pentagonal mount covered with a silk moiré ribbon, 24 mm wide. The left half of the ribbon is red. The right half consists of five vertical stripes of equal width: three black and two orange, with narrow 1 mm orange stripes at each edge.When worn on uniform, the ribbon bar of the Zhukov Medal is used, measuring 8 mm in height and 24 mm in width. A miniature copy of the Zhukov Medal, 16 mm in diameter, is also worn on a mount.The medal was awarded to World War II veteran I.E. Smolensky.
