Description
This office telephone belonged to renowned Kazakh composer Mukan Tulebayev and was used during his tenure as director of the Abai State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in the 1950s.
The phone is black and composed of four main parts: a handset, body, rotary dial, and cord. As a functional object from mid-20th-century Soviet-era administration, it reflects both the everyday office life and Tulebayev’s active role in managing and promoting national musical arts.
