Description

Soyyl тhe soyyl is an ancient weapon that has been used by Turkic peoples since ancient times. It has a long handle, which in some cases reached up to 2 meters in length. The upper (striking) part is rounded in shape. The soyyl was mainly made from hard and durable types of wood, such as karagana and tobylgy. When making a soyyl from yrgai or tobylgy, the wooden blank was dug out together with the tree root, after which the upper part was processed and shaped into a rounded form.
