Heel from lamp

Description

A fragment of the heel of a lamp, made of well-kneaded dense red dough, with minor admixtures of small sand particles. The surface of the fragment is covered with light engobe, on top of which a layer of transparent light-green glaze was applied. Teardrop-shaped, the edges are decorated with notches. In the central part there is a stamped plant ornament in the form of a trefoil with widely spaced side petals, from the ends of which three-part semi-polmettes extend upwards and downwards, forming a diamond-shaped frame.
