Description

Pile carpet. The central field of rectangular form with red background. Ornamented with octagonal medallions - tabak placed in two lines and inscribed brown tauyknuska patterns and squares in center. Also ornamented with patterns tistisharshy. The composition of patterns forms mesh ornament. Edges of carpet and central field edged by strip with alternation of dark blue, red colors. The border in three stripes ornamented with pattern kosmuiz, ormekshi. Edged by motley strip alakurt of dark blue, red colors. 1st half of 20th century. Woolen yarn, pile weaving. 147х270 cm. South-Kazakhstan (Shymkent) region.
