Still Life with Cups

Description

Author: Dzhusupov, Ali. 1928-1976
A still life with a laid table: a white teapot, a plate with an apple, cups, spoons, and a knife on a light checkered tablecloth; behind the table, a fragment of a chair with light fabric draped over it is visible. The colour scheme is rendered in soft pastel tones - white, blue-grey, and ochre - with a single colour accent provided by the yellow-pink apple. The concise, generalized composition and the muted tonality of the palette lend the scene the intimate character of a domestic still life. Bottom right – signature and date.
