An industrial landscape depicting large-scale open-pit mining operations in the Ekibastuz coal basin. Among the terraces and slopes formed by rock excavation, a broad, sunlit space of the quarry opens up. At the center lies the primary thematic and compositional focus of the work - massive mining machinery: a giant combine and a train loaded with coal extending from it. The grandeur of the industrial complex is emphasized by small human figures, barely distinguishable against the backdrop of the vast quarry. The contrast of rich warm reddish-brown and ochre earth tones with the intense cool blue and azure shades of the sky and shadows heightens the tension of the painterly structure and reveals the complex relief of the excavated space.
