Old Rope Reels

Description

Author: Nurmukhammedov, Nagimbek. 1924-1986
A river landscape unfolds on a sandy bank to the left, featuring a light-colored beach bungalow with a canopy, accompanied by wooden rope reels and a trough, while a boat is moored at the water’s edge. On the opposite shore, the silhouettes of coastal buildings and vessels emerge. The upper section of the composition opens onto a ridge of hills beneath a luminous sky, imparting depth and aerial perspective to the scene. The palette is based on delicate blue, ochre, and green tones dominated by light, translucent shades. A soft, lyrical manner paired with a realistic style laced with poetic intimacy fills the image with an atmosphere of tranquility and quiet everyday simplicity.
