Mortar and Pestle (Keli and Kelsap).
The mortar is carved from solid wood and wrapped in untreated animal hide, with the fur facing outward. Once dried, the hide tightly secures the wood and prevents it from cracking.
Mortar dimensions: total height–45 cm, inner mouth diameter–17 cm, wall thickness–3 cm, inner depth-32сm. The pestle (kelsap) is made from dense hardwood, carefully dried in the shade. Its upper part has a diameter of 10 cm and tapers gradually over 26 cm. The middle section (14 cm long) features a 4 cm indentation, making it comfortable to grip. The lower part is rounded, tapering to a 5 cm diameter at the end.
The end of the pestle is worn down from repeated use, and the upper part is cracked and broken. Total length of the pestle–76 cm.
