Bag (kanar)

Description

A sack (qanar) is a traditional household item used for storing and transporting dry food products, including grain, flour, qurt, irimshik, salt, and other types of food. It is woven from spun sheep’s wool. The item has a rectangular shape and a dense structure.
The main background of the item is light grey, reflecting the natural color of sheep’s wool. The surface features alternating vertical stripes in dark brown, black, and yellow, formed during the weaving process. The stripes emphasize the compositional structure of the item and give it a decorative character.
The upper part of the sack, namely its opening, is edged and reinforced with light pinkish-red fabric to increase its durability and resistance to wear.
