Description

This is a kimeshek, a traditional headdress worn by married Kazakh women. It is made of white fabric and features a distinctive design that covers the head, neck, chest, and shoulders while leaving the face exposed. The upper part has a pointed silhouette. The neckline and chest area are richly decorated with embroidery in red, black, and yellow threads. The chest embroidery forms a pyramidal composition combining geometric and symbolic ornamental motifs. The lower edge is finished with a decorative ruffle. The artefact reflects the traditions of Kazakh women’s clothing and the distinctive features of Kazakh decorative and applied arts.
