Tyubek (hygienic vessel)

Description

Ceramic hygienic vessel. It was handmade from clay and fired in a kiln. The vessel is cylindrical in shape, with a rounded lower part. The wide upper rim flares outward. The natural yellowish colour of the clay material has been preserved. The exterior is decorated with a vertical pattern of teardrop-shaped figures in two colours - brown and black. The ornament gives the vessel a decorative character and highlights its distinctive features. It was used as a household item for personal hygiene.
