Description

A piece of armor that protects the arms from the wrist to the elbow. They first appeared in Europe in the 14th century. The armbands are tubular and consist of two strongly curved metal plates. The plates are pivotally connected to each other and are closed using two leather straps with buckles.

Condition

Metal without major deformations or cracks. The surface shows signs of darkening and slight corrosion. The decorations and engravings are clearly visible and practically undamaged. Fasteners and straps are present, although the straps look a little worn out and need to be replaced for a secure fit. The edges of the armbands do not have significant chips or dents.
