Stone for Making Yurt Frame

Description

A stone tool used for shaping and straightening uuks (the wooden roof poles of a traditional Kazakh yurt). It is made from natural stone by carving and has an elongated shape, with one pointed end and the other slightly widened. An opening in the upper part was made to secure the uuk while shaping it. The tool was used in the manufacture and straightening of yurt roof poles.
