Description:
A sacred item used by revered ancestors. The staff is considered a holy object and served multiple purposes: during travel it was used to scare away wild animals and birds, and in desert areas - to uncover springs of water. It was forged from hot metal using a twisting technique. The upper part of the staff is decorated with a chain and horsehair. Similar asatayaq staffs are found in the sacred sites of Mangystau, such as Shopan Ata, Beket Ata, and Karaman Ata.
