Description
A round button made of 925 sterling silver, with decorative edges treated using the chasing technique. The central area of the obverse is decorated with an amulet-like composition consisting of geometric and sectoral motifs, with some sections filled with a fine-grained pattern. A small raised element resembling an “eye” is positioned at the center of the composition. A metal loop for attachment to clothing is fixed on the reverse. The object is in good condition: the metal is stable, the raised and chased elements remain clearly defined, and no deformation is visible. The button has historical, ethnographic, and artistic significance as an example of traditional jewelry craftsmanship and nineteenth-century clothing accessories.
