On 7 April 2026, archaeological finds of the 9th-11th centuries, from the collections of the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, were displayed at the International exhibition “The Oghuz Phenomenon: From the Great Steppe to Anatolia”, held in Istanbul (Republic of Turkey).
The exhibition featured ceramic vessels, a bronze mirror, a metal ring, decorative elements of horse equipment, horse harness ornaments, bell, iron scissors, a fragment of a knife, stirrup and belt plates.
The exhibition was attended by the museum’s Director, M. Kipiyev, and the Head of the Archaeology Research Department, G. Bazarbayev, who presented the archaeological and historical-cultural heritage of the Atyrau region on the international academic and exhibition stage.
