His personal library and study - this area displays books, manuscripts, and research materials used by Kondybay.
Serikbol Kondybay (1968-2004) was born in the village of Kuryk in the Mangystau Region. After graduating from the Faculty of Geography of the Kazakh National University, he conducted research in the fields of local history, tourism, and landscape aesthetics. His work Arghyqazakh Mythology became the first systematic scientific study of Kazakh mythology. In Hyperborea: Chronicle of the Age of Dreams, he linked the ancient history and mythology of the Kazakhs. In The Kazakh Steppe and the Germanic Gods, he carried out a comparative analysis of Turkic and Germanic mythologies.
The museum organizes various scientific and cultural events aimed at preserving and promoting the scholar’s legacy. These include international academic conferences, book presentations, exhibitions, and lectures. For example, in 2021, the museum hosted the presentation of two new books dedicated to Serikbol Kondybay’s creative work. The museum also preserves his personal manuscripts, books, and the results of his scientific research, all of which highlight the value of his scholarly heritage.
