Museum of the History of the city of Kokshetau

The Kokshetau City History Museum is a place where the past of one of the most beautiful and original cities of Kazakhstan comes to life. Its building, an architectural monument of the 19th century, stands at the foot of the picturesque Bukpa hills, on the shore of Lake Kopa, where the historical center of Kokshetau originated.

The museum's collections contain more than 16,000 unique exhibits: from antique photographs and manuscripts to household items, documents and works of decorative and applied art. Every thing here is a witness to time, telling about the formation of the city, its political, cultural and economic life.

The museum's exhibitions will take visitors through different eras:
