Samovar

The samovar is a metal household appliance designed for boiling water, featuring a combustion chamber for coal. Its body is shaped like a “can,” with a stepped band on the upper part. The base is rectangular, and the air blower has decorative grooves. The handles, equipped with wooden grips, hang on hooks and dangle. The end of the spout features a wavy pattern, and the bottom has a flat, shaped socket.
This samovar was purchased by the parents of Momakan Gabdulzhabbaruly at the end of the 19th century and has belonged to this family ever since. From this samovar, Imam Momakan’s first wife, the hospitable Asem Kappaskyzy, served tea to her husband’s many guests.
