Button is one of the widely распространён decorative items in ornamental and applied jewelry art. It serves as a decorative fastener joining the two fronts of a garment. Such buttons were most commonly made of silver, featuring a hollow interior and various shapes. The outer surface was decorated using the granulation technique. In jewelry practice, this type of button is known as a torsyldyk button.
The described torsyldyk button is adorned on its front surface with a “Rose” flower motif executed in silver granulation. The lower part of the object features a suspended decorative element embellished with patterns composed of small granulated beads. The clasp of the button is made in a flat form. The object is entirely handcrafted and reflects the use of traditional jewelry-making technologies.
