Amulet. Discovered in 2019 during archaeological excavations at the Western Mausoleum of the medieval Syganak settlement. Dated to the 14th-15th centuries. The amulet was found near the head of the princess’s remains, clearly indicating that the gold object had been attached to a headdress. It has a cylindrical shape. Surrounding the main large stone are six settings of various sizes intended for additional inlays; however, the stones that once filled these settings have been lost. Remarkably, the amulet has been preserved in a clean and intact condition and has survived to the present day. The tumar was discovered in 2019 as a result of archaeological excavations at the medieval site of Syganak, carried out jointly by specialists from the International Institute for Central Asian Studies and the Archaeological Research Center of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University.
