Ritual incense burner

Ritual incense burner. 2nd century BC – 4th century AD. A vessel on a high foot with two hemispherical bowls and two arc-shaped double handles attached to the foot; the bowls also serve as integral trays. The inner surface of the bowls shows signs of charring, and along the entire length of the handles, deeply etched wide lines form a low rim in the middle. Burial ground Kultobe, barrow 1 of the eastern group of barrows, Southern Kazakhstan.
Date: 2nd century BC – 4th century AD.
Material: Ceramics.
Technique: Hand modeling.
Dimensions: height 21.4 cm, length of the foot 13.7 cm, diameter of the foot 3.5-3.6 cm; bowls: diameter 11 cm, height 4 cm; diameter 8.8 cm, height 3.7 cm.
