Shaksha - a container for storing tobacco.
It is made of horn, has the shape of a cylinder, expanded downwards. The surface of the vessel is decorated with round metal rivets. The upper part of the vessel is framed by a metal rim with jagged edges. The rim is decorated with geometric shapes made using the notching technique. There is a chain on the wall of the vessel, on which the stopper was fixed. On the bottom of the vessel there is a metal plate with an engraved inscription of the owner’s name “Maselim Ummetuli”.
Dating: The end of the nineteenth century
