Description

Author: Nikulin, Valentin. 1932
An industrial winter landscape depicting a snow-covered yard in the foreground, before a factory building on the left. On the right, wagons move along a narrow-gauge track leading into the factory grounds, with small figures of workers visible against the snow. In the distance stand workshop buildings with tall smoking chimneys, houses under construction, and hoisting cranes. Executed in a plein-air manner with broad impasto brushstrokes, the work features generalized forms. The color palette is built on the muted grey-white and bluish tones of a winter day, enlivened by ochre and reddish accents of the buildings. At the lower left - signature and date.
