A decorative composition with a rural motif depicts a standing woman in white attire on the left; at the right edge are two sheep, while adobe buildings with dark door and window openings are outlined in the center. The immobility of the solitary figure and the stillness of the surrounding space convey a state of tense anticipation. The forms are highly generalized, reduced to planes and sharply outlined, within a stylized space. The painterly manner is expressive, characterized by a thick impasto application and energetic brushwork. The composition is built on the contrast between deep blue and fiery orange tones, among which the white figure serves as the main light accent.
