Girl with a Ball

Description

Author: Yesdauletov, Askar. 1962
A decorative composition with stylized figurative imagery. Against a dark background enlivened by white brushstrokes is the silhouette of a girl in a red cap holding a black ball in her hand. To the right is the figure of a fantastic animal. The images are rendered in a generalized manner, lacking detailed elaboration. The contrast of saturated colour spots with the dark background enhances the decorative expressiveness of the composition. At the lower right – signature and date.
