A landscape with a mountain lake, forested slopes, and a snow-capped peak; the composition is built horizontally with clear spatial layering: the mirror-like surface of the water, the dense green mass of the forest, and small buildings by the shore in the lower right corner. The colouring is closely keyed within a green palette - rich dark and light green tones of the forest contrast with the cool turquoise of the water and the whiteness of the snowy peaks. The painterly manner is impasto and fragmented - short, multidirectional brushstrokes convey the texture of the coniferous mass and the light ripple on the lake’s surface.
