The bodies of shelled mollusks are classified as head, body, and foot. Their digestive system is complex. Teeth in the mouth at the front of the body are attached to the grinding tongue and pharynx. The circulatory system is open; the heart has one or two atria and one ventricle. They breathe through gills located under the mantle.
