Description
Ammonite – an order of extinct invertebrate animals belonging to the class of cephalopod mollusks that lived during the Devonian period. Their shells are both heteromorphic and monomorphic. The shell is divided into several chambers. The surface is ribbed. They became extinct along with the dinosaurs in the Cretaceous-Paleogene era.
