Description

Silver-inlaid whip.
Date: 1945
The whip is braided from leather straps, the handle is made of tobylgy, covered with a silver plate featuring a black and white pattern and grain. The silver plate is engraved with the numbers “1945” and the letters “Ж.М.” The middle part of the handle is wrapped in velvet fabric and silver-plated with a snake design. This whip was crafted by master Sarsengali Sherkeshbaev (born in 1885) in 1945 and gifted to Zhanbyrbaev Maral.
