Still Life with Fruits

Description

On a large, intricately shaped ceramic or porcelain plate with a wavy edge, fruits are artfully arranged. On the left, there is a large, ripe apple with a red-orange side and a few small peaches or apricots. In front of them lie three sizable dark blue plums with a characteristic bluish bloom. The center and right part of the composition are occupied by voluminous, heavy bunches of grapes: ripe, translucent green (white) grapes with soft highlights on the berries and a branch of dark, purple-blue grapes. Among them, a ripe pear of greenish-yellow hue and a walnut can be discerned.
