Medal ’70 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR’

Description

Medal “70 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR”, belonging to Sedelnikov L. E. The medal is circular in shape and is secured to a rectangular base wrapped in silk moire tape with a loop and ring. The front of the medal features images of a sailor, a pilot, and a soldier (facing right) surrounded by laurel branches. At the top, there is a five-pointed star, and at the bottom, the years ‘1918’ and ‘1988’ are written in two rows. The back of the medal has an inscription written in five lines: ’70 YEARS OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE USSR’, with images of crossed laurel and oak branches beneath it. The moire ribbon is red, with a green stripe running along the edge, and a light gray longitudinal stripe bordered on both sides with yellow stripes running through the center. The back of the base has a pin-type fastener.
