Artillery shell

Description

Artillery shell - a type of artillery ammunition intended for military purposes. The exhibit consists of an elongated cylindrical metal body. The upper part gradually tapers into the shape of a truncated cone. A ring-shaped recess and a driving band are visible on the lower part. The surface is brownish-black in colour, with signs of natural corrosion and traces of mechanical metalworking. The surface of the object bears traces of rust and abrasion resulting from prolonged use or storage.
The exhibit has museum value as a material source on the history of military artillery equipment and weaponry of the 20th century.
