Tuskiz

Description

A traditional Kazakh decorative item used to adorn the walls of a room. It was most often hung above the head of a bed, which is why it is called a “tuskiz.” The tuskiz is made of light yellow fabric. The center and edges are embroidered with white, blue, yellow, and green mouliné threads. The backing is made of red fabric.
