This document is an official letter from the Sovetskaya Entsiklopediya (Soviet Encyclopedia). Publishing House, operating under the State Committee for Publishing of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. The letter concerns the preparation of an encyclopedic article about Nurmolda Aldabergenov and the verification of his biographical information.
Dear Comrade, The Agricultural Editorial Office of the Soviet Encyclopedia Publishing House has prepared a brief biographical article about Nurmolda Aldabergenov, the former chairman of the Karl Marx Collective Farm, for publication in Volume I of the Agricultural Encyclopedia.
We kindly ask you to review the article and make any necessary corrections. In particular, we request that you verify Aldabergenov’s date of birth. It should be given first according to the Old Style (Julian calendar) and then, in parentheses, according to the New Style (Gregorian calendar). We understand that his birth date was 20 December, but it is unclear whether this date is recorded in the Old Style or the New Style. Please return the corrected article to the following address:
Agricultural Editorial Office, Sovetskaya Entsiklopediya Publishing House, 1/19 Dzerzhinsky Street, K-31, Moscow, USSR. Editor-in-Chief: G. Krylov.
