Syrmak

Description

This carpet is made using a felting technique from white and black sheep’s wool. The patterns are executed in white and black colors. The composition consists of central motifs and border designs. The edges of the ornaments are embroidered with red, yellow, and green threads. The item is one of the traditional household objects of the Kazakh people. The carpet was donated to the museum collection by Bekbolat Kapyshuly Atambayev.
