Rifle-мounted bayonet

Description

This exhibit is a bayonet - a type of bladed cold weapon resembling a spike or knife, mounted on an infantry rifle. The bayonet was used for defense and attack in close combat. Its elongated, pointed shape was designed to deliver direct thrusting strikes.
The bayonet is attached beneath the rifle barrel using a special locking mechanism.
