Talisman

Description

Such talismans were traditionally attached in homes, cars, or to personal belongings as a symbol of spiritual protection from misfortune and evil. The talisman is round in shape, with star-shaped cut-outs along the edges, and is placed in a plastic frame. The central part is light green, while the outer border is silver-coloured. A tassel made of green thread is attached to the bottom. An inscription in Arabic is placed on the upper part (“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful”). The talisman belonged to Kulash Aitmoldayevna Orazbekova, a scholar, Professor of Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences, full member of the New York Academy, and Honorary Doctor of Philosophy.
