Description

This item is a metal plate used to cover the front part (pommel) of a saddle for both decorative and protective purposes. The upper part is rounded, while the lower part widens on both sides, with a central notch designed to fit the saddle’s neck. The surface is silver-plated and adorned with elegant ram’s horn (qoshqar muyiz) patterns, clearly reflecting traditional Kazakh ornamental art. In addition to the chased designs, the metal surface features small indentations with nails used to fasten the piece to the wooden part of the saddle.
