Jambiya dagger with scabbard
Jordan, XX century.
The exhibit is a traditional oriental jambiya dagger with a scabbard, handmade in Jordan in the 20th century. The blade has a curved shape, typical for this type of weapon, and the scabbard is decorated with decorative elements. Jambiya is not only a cold weapon, but also an important attribute of national costume, a symbol of honor and status in the Middle East.
