Description

Shekelik is a traditional Kazakh silver ornament worn at the temples of a bridal saukele (headdress). This piece is a fine example of Kazakh jewelry art, notable for its delicate craftsmanship and complex design.
All structural elements are produced using a stamping technique. The composition consists of solar rosettes and rhombus-shaped figures decorated with petal-like patterns. These elements are interconnected with wire, forming a unified ornamental piece.
The wire outlines the components along the edges, creating a decorative spiral. This spiral transforms into an openwork grid that artistically fills the empty space and then extends into a long, straight rod. The rod is also wrapped in wire, maintaining the overall stylistic consistency.
