Description
A traditional element of Kazakh furniture, usually placed under a chest to protect it from moisture and dust, while also serving an aesthetic function. This example consists of four rectangular legs and a flat top board decorated with nail-in patterns. The surface retains geometric ornamentation in the form of “grid,” “rhombus,” and “linear” motifs.
