Description
Tekemet is a household item made of felt with various patterns applied on its surface. It is used as a floor covering. Tekemet is made of wool and decorated with patterns stitched in black, red, blue, yellow, and green threads. To prevent the floor of the yurt from getting cold, a layer of white shi was laid first, and on top of it, a tekemet with beautiful patterns was placed. This felt covering not only protects against the cold from the ground and retains warmth, but also decorates the interior of the home.
